This summer I am researching issues in bankruptcy at The University of Michigan with Professor Michelle J White. My SIP will be done by January 1999, and until then, the following links will probably be drafts of pieces from my project, as well as links that I will use frequently for the project.

The following links are documents or spreadsheets that I have created for my SIP. I thought that a number of them were useful things that should be able to be accessed on the WWW
  • Forclosure laws for each state

Places where I downloaded my data or found data similar to what I already had
  • Census Bureau
  • HMDA data
  • Exemption rates on a state level
  • Great source of US laws by title at the Cornell law school web site

The following are useful links to writing SAS code
  • Procsteps from vanderbilt university econ department.
  • SAS information guides
  • SAS programs
  • Some examples of SAS programs
  • The SAS Institute
  • Frequently Asked Questions and Answers from the University of Texas, includes SAS questions
  • PROBIT1
  • PROBIT2 examples
  • Since Probit uses a standard normal probability function, I found this great site that calculates the area between standard deviations
The following are useful links to bankruptcy issues
  • Digital Release has recent new clips on bankruptcy. After getting to this web site, search for bankruptcy & you'll be on your way.
  • Article National Study Shows that Pending Bill Could Potentially Recover More than $4 Billion in Bankruptcy Losses, with information on Ernst and Young's involvement in the study
  • WEFA Group, a Resource Planning Service which did a study showing the costs of bankruptcy on Average Americans
  • House testimony where you can find the testimony of many professionals, on the new bankruptcy reform
  • House testimony, more specifically, testimony from Dr. Tom Neubig, my former employer at Ernst and Young, National Director of Taxes at E&Y, and a Kalamazoo College graduate
  • American Bankruptcy Insititute where Ernst and Young's study can be found.
  • Bankruptcy Terms, a list of vocabulary used with bankruptcy
  • American Bankruptcy Institute
  • Bankruptcy - Law Journal Extra!
  • Internet Bankruptcy Library
  • Bankruptcy Online
  • Current Stats on Bankruptcy Filings

Stay tuned because I just started my SIP, and will be adding more soon.
